An after-school program for youth 11-14 years of age in the Auburn community. The program is a collaborative effort by Auburn Youth & Family Services (AYFS) and the Auburn Middle School. The Fun Club is designed to offer 26 youth an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities through recreation, education, cultural enrichment and community service. Goals of the Fun Club are to provide a safe after-school environment, encouragement of academic achievement, decision making skills, and opportunities to practice skills in conflict resolution, and discussion about health and family issues. The Fun Club is licensed by the Mass. Department of Early Education and Care. This program is funded in part by the Auburn Youth Commission and the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and is also supported by community supporters.
